「要用皂莢木做一個櫃，長一點一米，寬六十六釐米，高六十六釐米，裡外都要包上純金，要用金子鑲櫃邊。再造四個金環，安在櫃的四個腳上，每邊兩個環。用皂莢木造兩根橫杠，外面要包上金，然後把橫杠穿過櫃旁的金環，便於抬櫃。橫杠穿進環以後，不可再抽出來。把我將要賜給你的兩塊約版放在櫃裡。要用純金造一個施恩座，長一點一米，寬六十六釐米。用純金在施恩座的兩端打造兩個基路伯天使，跟施恩座連在一起，一端一個。兩個基路伯天使要面對面朝向施恩座，向上展開翅膀，遮蓋施恩座。

即會幕、約櫃和約櫃上面的施恩座、會幕裡面所有的器具、

以色列人離開耶和華的山，走了三天的路程，期間耶和華的約櫃一直在隊伍的前頭，為他們尋找安營之地。他們拔營前行的時候，白天總有耶和華的雲彩在他們上面。每當約櫃出發的時候，摩西就說：「耶和華啊，求你興起，擊潰你的敵人，使恨你的人逃竄。」約櫃停下來的時候，他就說：「耶和華啊，求你回到以色列的千萬人中。」

他把約版放在約櫃裡，橫杠穿在約櫃的兩旁，施恩座放在約櫃上，把約櫃抬進聖幕，掛起幔子遮掩約櫃，都遵照耶和華的吩咐。
