“要用皂荚木做一个柜，长一点一米，宽六十六厘米，高六十六厘米，里外都要包上纯金，要用金子镶柜边。再造四个金环，安在柜的四个脚上，每边两个环。用皂荚木造两根横杠，外面要包上金，然后把横杠穿过柜旁的金环，便于抬柜。横杠穿进环以后，不可再抽出来。把我将要赐给你的两块约版放在柜里。要用纯金造一个施恩座，长一点一米，宽六十六厘米。用纯金在施恩座的两端打造两个基路伯天使，跟施恩座连在一起，一端一个。两个基路伯天使要面对面朝向施恩座，向上展开翅膀，遮盖施恩座。

即会幕、约柜和约柜上面的施恩座、会幕里面所有的器具、

以色列人离开耶和华的山，走了三天的路程，期间耶和华的约柜一直在队伍的前头，为他们寻找安营之地。他们拔营前行的时候，白天总有耶和华的云彩在他们上面。每当约柜出发的时候，摩西就说：“耶和华啊，求你兴起，击溃你的敌人，使恨你的人逃窜。”约柜停下来的时候，他就说：“耶和华啊，求你回到以色列的千万人中。”

他把约版放在约柜里，横杠穿在约柜的两旁，施恩座放在约柜上，把约柜抬进圣幕，挂起幔子遮掩约柜，都遵照耶和华的吩咐。
