要以完全的謙卑和溫柔，以耐心，在愛中彼此容忍；以和平的聯結，努力保持屬聖靈的合一：一個身體、一位聖靈，就像你們蒙召時也被召入一個盼望，一位主、一個信仰、一個洗禮、一位神——就是萬有之父，他超越萬有，貫通萬有，在萬有之中。

實際上，我們受洗也都是藉著一位聖靈成為一個身體——無論是猶太人或外邦人，無論是奴隸或自由人——並且我們都是受了一位聖靈的澆灌。

我們卻要在愛中說真話，在一切事上向著他長進；他就是頭，是基督。本於他，全身藉著每一個關節的支持，照著每一個部分適當的功用，互相連接，結合在一起，使身體漸漸成長，以致在愛中建立自己。

耶路撒冷被建造，如同連為一體的城市。

弟兄們，我藉著我們主耶穌基督的名，懇求你們大家言語一致；你們中間不要分裂，而要在同一個心思、同一個目的上得以完備。

他們同心合意，不但天天恆切地在聖殿聚集，還在各家各戶掰餅。他們懷著喜樂和誠懇的心用飯，

看哪，弟兄們合一居住，是多麼美善，多麼美好——

在基督耶穌裡，全部建築互相連接，漸漸成為在主裡的聖殿；

他救我們脫離了如此致命的危險，並且將來要救我們——我們盼望他將來還要救我們。

好讓你們有能力與所有聖徒一起了解基督的愛是多麼長、闊、高、深——明白那超越了人所能理解的基督之愛，好讓你們得以滿足，達到神一切的豐盛完美。
