God[ is] jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and[ is] furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth[ wrath] for his enemies.The LORD[ is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit[ the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds[ are] the dust of his feet.

To the Lord our God[ belong] mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

For our God[ is] a consuming fire.

And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he[ is] an holy God; he[ is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest:[ this shall be] the portion of their cup.

But thou, O Lord,[ art] a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

To me[ belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in[ due] time: for the day of their calamity[ is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

[ What] if God, willing to shew[ his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name[ is] in him.

Tell ye, and bring[ them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time?[ who] hath told it from that time?[ have] not I the LORD? and[ there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;[ there is] none beside me.

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.So that a man shall say, Verily[ there is] a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

The LORD is known[ by] the judgment[ which] he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.The wicked shall be turned into hell,[ and] all the nations that forget God.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Shall I count[ them] pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Who[ is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth[ in] mercy.

Him hath God exalted with his right hand[ to be] a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:

Be it known unto you therefore, men[ and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy[ against] the[ Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
