As he passed in front of Moses, he called out. He said,“ I am the Lord, the Lord. I am the God who is tender and kind. I am gracious. I am slow to get angry. I am faithful and full of love.

The Lord passed before him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,

The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,“ Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.

The LORD passed in front of him and proclaimed: The LORD— the LORD is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth,

Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth;

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed,“ The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,

And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth,

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh— Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed:“ The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,

Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed,“ Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

“ Now may the Lord’s strength be displayed, just as you have declared:‘ The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”

He prayed to the Lord,“ Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.

If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness, for you have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s gracethat he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,

The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.

because that cloak is the only covering your neighbor has. What else can they sleep in? When they cry out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate.

You will be faithful to Jacob, and show love to Abraham, as you pledged on oath to our ancestors in days long ago.

For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Moses said to God,“ Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them,‘ The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me,‘ What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”God said to Moses,“ I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites:‘ I am has sent me to you.’”God also said to Moses,“ Say to the Israelites,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob— has sent me to you.’“ This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.“ Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob— appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In that day you will say:“ Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.

But,” he said,“ you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”Then the Lord said,“ There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

The Lord said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.

They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
