Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

Sacrifice a lamb to buy back every male donkey born first to its mother. But if you do not buy the donkey back, break its neck. Buy back all your oldest sons.“ You must not come to worship me with your hands empty.

你要守除酵節，照我所吩咐你的，在亞筆月內所定的日期吃無酵餅七天，因為你是在這月離開了埃及。誰也不可空手來朝見我。

「你所有的男丁要在除酵節、七七節、住棚節，一年三次，在耶和華－你上帝所選擇的地方朝見他，不可空手朝見耶和華。

那時法老固執，不肯放我們走，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都殺了。因此，我把一切頭生的公的牲畜獻給耶和華為祭，卻將所有頭生的兒子贖出來。

然而，凡頭生的驢，你要用羔羊贖回；若不贖牠，就要打斷牠的頸項。你兒子中的長子都要贖出來。

掃羅對僕人說：「看哪，我們若去，送甚麼給那人呢？我們袋子裏的食物都吃完了，也沒有禮物可以送給神人，我們還有些甚麼呢？」僕人又回答掃羅說：「看哪，我手裏還有四分之一舍客勒的銀子，可以送給神人，請他指示我們當走的路。」

他們所有奉給耶和華的，無論是人是牲畜，凡頭胎的，都要歸給你；但是人的長子，一定要贖出來。不潔淨牲畜中頭生的，也要贖出來。

所以你每年要按着日期守這條例。」

「你要揀選利未人代替所有頭生的以色列人，也要取利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜。利未人要歸我，我是耶和華。以色列人頭生的男子比利未人多了二百七十三名，必須把他們贖出來；按照人丁，照聖所的舍客勒，每人當付五舍客勒，一舍客勒是二十季拉。你要把這些多出來的人的贖銀交給亞倫和他的兒子。」於是摩西從那被利未人所贖以外多出來的人取了贖銀。從頭生的以色列人所取的銀子，按照聖所的舍客勒，共計一千三百六十五舍客勒。摩西遵照耶和華指示的話，把贖銀交給亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華所吩咐的。

王對亞勞拿說：「不，我一定要按價錢向你買；我不能用白白得來的東西作燔祭獻給耶和華－我的上帝。」大衛就用五十舍客勒銀子買了那禾場與牛。
