Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

要守除酵節，照我的吩咐在每年亞筆月所定的日期連續吃七天的無酵餅，因為你是在這個月離開了埃及。誰也不可空手來朝拜我。

「你們所有男子要每年三次，即在無酵節、七七收穫節和住棚節，在你們的上帝耶和華指定的地方朝見祂。你們不可空手朝見，

當時法老硬著心不肯放我們走，所以耶和華就把埃及人的長子和頭生的牲畜全都殺了。因此，我們把所有頭生的公畜當作祭牲獻給耶和華，只把長子贖回來。』

所有頭生的公驢必須用羊羔贖回，不然就要打斷牠的脖子。要贖回你們所有的長子。

掃羅答道：「如果去，我們有什麼可以送給他呢？我們袋裡的食物也吃完了，我們還有什麼可以送給上帝的僕人呢？」僕人說：「我這裡還有三克銀子，我們可以送給上帝的僕人，請他告訴我們去哪裡找驢。」

奉獻給耶和華的長子和頭生的牲畜都歸你，但要贖出長子和不潔淨的頭生牲畜。

因此，每一年你們都要按時守這節期。

「你要用利未人代替以色列人所有的長子，用利未人的牲畜代替以色列人所有頭生的牲畜。利未人是屬於我的，我是耶和華。以色列人所有長子的人數比利未人總數多二百七十三人，這些多出來的人需要被贖回，每人折合五十五克銀子，要以聖所的秤為準，即一舍客勒是二十季拉。要把贖銀交給亞倫父子們。」摩西就收取了那二百七十三人的贖銀，以聖所的秤計算，共十五公斤銀子，照耶和華的吩咐，將贖銀交給亞倫父子們。

王卻說：「不可，我一定要出錢買，我不願意用白白得來之物作為燔祭獻給我的上帝耶和華。」大衛就用六百克銀子買了亞勞拿的麥場和牛。
