爾若與其地之居民立約、恐彼妄從其神、祭祀其神、招爾食其祭物、

他們卻不聽從士師，竟隨從叩拜別神，行了邪淫，速速地偏離他們列祖所行的道，不如他們列祖順從耶和華的命令。

耶和華又對摩西說：「你必和你列祖同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦神行邪淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。

因為這女子叫百姓來，一同給她們的神獻祭，百姓就吃她們的祭物，跪拜她們的神。

論到吃祭偶像之物，我們知道偶像在世上算不得甚麼，也知道神只有一位，再沒有別的神。

他們又與巴力‧毗珥連合，且吃了祭死神的物。

倘有一個不信的人請你們赴席，你們若願意去，凡擺在你們面前的，只管吃，不要為良心的緣故問甚麼話。

若有人見你這有知識的，在偶像的廟裏坐席，這人的良心若是軟弱，豈不放膽去吃那祭偶像之物嗎？

他們不可再獻祭給他們行邪淫所隨從的鬼魔；這要作他們世世代代永遠的定例。

你要謹慎，不可與你所去那地的居民立約，恐怕成為你們中間的網羅；

但人不都有這等知識。有人到如今因拜慣了偶像，就以為所吃的是祭偶像之物。他們的良心既然軟弱，也就污穢了。

因以色列輕忽了她的淫亂，和石頭木頭行淫，地就被玷污了。

我就要向這人和他的家變臉，把他和一切隨他與摩洛行邪淫的人都從民中剪除。「人偏向交鬼的和行巫術的，隨他們行邪淫，我要向那人變臉，把他從民中剪除。

你們佩帶這繸子，好叫你們看見就記念遵行耶和華一切的命令，不隨從自己的心意、眼目行邪淫，像你們素常一樣；

我乃是說，外邦人所獻的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神。我不願意你們與鬼相交。你們不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，不能吃主的筵席又吃鬼的筵席。

耶和華說：「我要立約，要在百姓面前行奇妙的事，是在遍地萬國中所未曾行的。在你四圍的外邦人就要看見耶和華的作為，因我向你所行的是可畏懼的事。

拿着七碗的七位天使中，有一位前來對我說：「你到這裏來，我將坐在眾水上的大淫婦所要受的刑罰指給你看。地上的君王與她行淫，住在地上的人喝醉了她淫亂的酒。」我被聖靈感動，天使帶我到曠野去，我就看見一個女人騎在朱紅色的獸上；那獸有七頭十角，遍體有褻瀆的名號。那女人穿着紫色和朱紅色的衣服，用金子、寶石、珍珠為妝飾；手拿金杯，杯中盛滿了可憎之物，就是她淫亂的污穢。在她額上有名寫着說：「奧祕哉！大巴比倫，作世上的淫婦和一切可憎之物的母。」

遠離你的，必要死亡；凡離棄你行邪淫的，你都滅絕了。

我的民求問木偶，以為木杖能指示他們；因為他們的淫心使他們失迷，他們就行淫離棄神，不守約束，

他們與天上的神獻燔祭所需用的公牛犢、公綿羊、綿羊羔，並所用的麥子、鹽、酒、油，都要照耶路撒冷祭司的話，每日供給他們，不得有誤；

然而，有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的僕人，引誘他們行姦淫，吃祭偶像之物。

不可和他們並他們的神立約。

以色列啊，不要像外邦人歡喜快樂；因為你行邪淫離棄你的神，在各穀場上如妓女喜愛賞賜。

耶和華－你神將他們交給你擊殺，那時你要把他們滅絕淨盡，不可與他們立約，也不可憐恤他們。
