恐怕你與那地的居民立約，他們隨從自己的神行邪淫，給自己的神獻祭的時候，有人叫你，你就吃他的祭物；

只怕你与那地的居民立约，百姓随从他们的神，就行邪淫，祭祀他们的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，

你不可与那地的居民立约，因为他们随从自己的神明行淫；祭他们神明的时候，有人邀请你参加，你就会吃他的祭物。

但他們連士師也不聽從，竟與別的神行了姦淫，敬拜他們；他們迅速偏離了他們列祖所行、聽從耶和華命令的道路，他們沒有照樣行。

耶和華對摩西說：“看哪，你快要和你的列祖長眠了；這人民要起來，在他們所要去的地方，在那地的人中，與外族人的神行邪淫，離棄我，破壞我與他們所立的約。

那些女子叫以色列人來，一同給她們的神獻祭，以色列人也吃了她們的祭物，跪拜她們的神。

關於吃祭過偶像的食物，我們知道世上的偶像算不得甚麼，也知道神只有一位，沒有別的神。

他們又歸附巴力．毘珥，吃了祭過死神的祭物。

如果有不信的人邀請你們吃飯，你們也願意去，凡擺在你們面前的，都可以吃，不要為了良心的緣故問甚麼。

因為如果有人看見你這有知識的人，在偶像的廟裡吃喝，他的良心若是軟弱，他不就放膽去吃那祭過偶像的食物嗎？

他們不可再殺祭牲，獻給那些山羊，就是他們所隨從行邪淫的鬼神。這要作他們世世代代永遠的律例。

你要小心，不可與你所去的那地的居民立約，恐怕這事在你中間成為陷阱。

不過，這種知識不是人人都有的。有些人直到現在習慣了拜偶像的事，因此他們吃的時候，就把這些食物看作是真的獻過給偶像的；他們的良心既然軟弱，就被污穢了。

因以色列把自己的淫行視作等閒，去與石頭木頭行淫，就把這地玷污了。

我就要向那人和他的家族變臉，把他和所有跟隨他與摩洛行邪淫的人，都從他們的族人中剪除。“如果有人轉向交鬼的和行法術的，隨從他們行淫，我必向那人變臉，把他從他的族人中剪除。

這要作你們的繸子，叫你們一看見，就記得耶和華的一切命令，並且遵行；不隨從自己的心意和眼目亂跑，像你們素常亂跑行淫一樣，

我是說，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是獻給神；我卻不願意你們與鬼來往。你們不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，你們不能參加主的筵席又參加鬼的筵席。

耶和華說：“看哪，我要立約，我要在你全體的人民面前作奇妙的事，是在全地萬國中沒有行過的。在你四周的萬民都必看見耶和華的作為，因為我向你所行的是可畏懼的事。

拿著七碗的七位天使中，有一位來跟我講話，說：“你來，我要把那坐在眾水之上的大淫婦所要受的審判指示你。地上的眾王都跟她行過淫，住在地上的人也都喝她淫亂的酒醉了。”我在靈裡被天使帶到曠野去，看見一個婦人，騎著朱紅色的獸，這獸布滿了褻瀆的名號，有七頭十角。那婦人穿著紫色和朱紅色的衣服，佩戴著金子、寶石和珍珠的裝飾，手裡拿著金杯，盛滿了可憎的物，和她淫亂的污穢。她額上寫著一個名號：“奧祕，大巴比倫，地上的淫婦和可憎的物之母。”

看哪！遠離你的，必定滅亡；凡是對你不貞的，你都要滅絕。

我的子民求問木頭，由木杖引導他們，因為淫蕩的靈使他們走迷了路，他們就行淫不順從神。

他們需用的甚麼東西，包括作燔祭獻給天上神的公牛犢、公綿羊和綿羊羔；還有麥子、鹽、酒和油，都要照著在耶路撒冷的祭司們所說，天天供給他們，不可疏忽，

然而有一件事我要責備你，就是你容讓那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別，教導和引誘我的眾僕人行淫亂，吃祭過偶像的食物。

不可與他們和他們的神立約。

以色列啊！不要歡喜；不要像外族人一樣快樂，因為你行了邪淫，離開你的神，在各打穀場上喜愛賣淫的賞賜。

耶和華你的神把他們交給你，你打敗了他們的時候，你要完全毀滅他們，不可與他們立約，也不可恩待他們。
