When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced,“ Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.”

告以色列族、我之節期、是為聖會、有常例焉。

今所言者乃我之節期、必守聖會、以獻燔祭、而奉事我、其燔祭、禮物、灌奠之酒、日必獻之、各遵所宜。

外此亦有節期、以為聖會、屆期必告於眾。

亞倫受之、鎔鑄其金、刀刻為犢、有稱之者曰、以色列族乎、導爾出埃及之上帝、即此。

勿以惡毒之舊酵、宜以誠實之無酵、守節期、

以法蓮多築祭壇、獲罪於我、自取其戾、

掃羅築壇、奉事耶和華實始於此。

猶大地固有節期、耶羅破暗別設節期、於八月之望、獻祭於壇、亦在伯特利祭所作之犢、以所任為崇邱之祭司、置於伯特利。既從己意、八月之望定節期、使以色列族恪守、則在是月、於伯特利所作之壇、獻祭焚香。

曰、當使民禁食、在民間舉拿泊於高坐、

歷代當誌是日、必守節期、以奉事我耶和華永著為例。

摩西曰、自老迄幼、由子及女、爰至牛羊、無不俱往。以守節禮、奉事耶和華。

是日必有聖會、播告於眾、咸止工作、著為永例、歷代勿替、隨往勿易。

年久民未循例守禮、故立志普告以色列族、自但及別是巴、使咸至耶路撒冷、守逾越節、奉事以色列族之上帝耶和華。

以色列族蔑視造化之主、自建殿宇、猶大族益築城垣、我將焚其城、燬其殿焉。

祭司烏哩亞作壇、循亞哈士、自大馬色、所賚之圖而造、王未旋歸、壇已告成。
