亚伦从他们手里接过来，铸了一只牛犊，用雕刻的器具做成。他们就说：“以色列啊，这是领你出埃及地的神。”

所以，我们守这节不可用旧酵，也不可用恶毒、邪恶的酵，只用诚实真正的无酵饼。

“以法莲增添祭坛取罪；因此，祭坛使他犯罪。

扫罗为耶和华筑了一座坛，这是他初次为耶和华筑的坛。

耶罗波安定八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，自己上坛献祭。他在伯特利也这样向他所铸的牛犊献祭，又将立为邱坛的祭司安置在伯特利。他在八月十五日，就是他私自所定的月日，为以色列人立作节期的日子，在伯特利上坛烧香。

信上写着说：“你们当宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民间的高位上，

“你们要记念这日，守为耶和华的节，作为你们世世代代永远的定例。

摩西说：“我们要和我们老的少的、儿子女儿同去，且把羊群牛群一同带去，因为我们务要向耶和华守节。”

当这日，你们要宣告圣会；什么劳碌的工都不可做。这在你们一切的住处作为世世代代永远的定例。

于是定了命令，传遍以色列，从别是巴直到但，使他们都来，在耶路撒冷向耶和华以色列的神守逾越节；因为照所写的例，守这节的不多了。

以色列忘记造他的主，建造宫殿；犹大多造坚固城，我却要降火焚烧他的城邑，烧灭其中的宫殿。”

祭司乌利亚照着亚哈斯王从大马士革送来的图样，在亚哈斯王没有从大马士革回来之先，建筑一座坛。
