He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said,“ These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”

He took what they gave him and made it into a metal statue of a god. It looked like a calf. Aaron shaped it with a tool. Then the people said,“ Israel, here is your god who brought you up out of Egypt.”

And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said,“ These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Then Aaron took the gold, melted it down, and molded it into the shape of a calf. When the people saw it, they exclaimed,“ O Israel, these are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

He took the gold from them, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it into an image of a calf. Then they said,“ Israel, these are your gods, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!”

制造偶像的人尽都虚空，他们所喜悦的全无益处；偶像的见证人毫无所见，毫无所知，以致他们羞愧。谁制造神像，铸造偶像？这些都是无益的。

耶罗波安王就筹划，铸造了两个金牛犊，对众百姓说：“你们上耶路撒冷去实在够久了。以色列啊，看哪，这是领你出埃及地的神明。”

“现在你们说要抗拒大卫子孙手下所治理的耶和华的国，你们的人数众多，你们那里又有耶罗波安为你们所造当作神明的金牛犊。

他们在何烈山造了牛犊，叩拜铸成的像，将他们荣耀的主换为吃草之牛的像，忘了神—他们的救主，就是曾在埃及行大事，

耶罗波安为丘坛，为山羊鬼魔，为自己所造的牛犊设立祭司。

你们究竟将谁比神，用什么形像与他相较呢？至于偶像，匠人铸造它，银匠用金子包裹它，又为它铸造银链。

他们从钱囊中倒出金子，用天平秤出银子，雇银匠造成神像，他们又俯伏，又叩拜。

撒玛利亚的居民必因伯‧亚文的牛犊惊恐；它的百姓为它悲哀，它的祭司为它战兢，因为荣耀已经离开它。

只是耶户不离开尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷入罪里的那罪，就是拜伯特利和但的金牛犊。

米迦把这一千一百块银子还他母亲。他母亲说：“我把这银子分别为圣，亲手献给耶和华，为我儿子造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像。现在我把银子交给你。”米迦把银子还他母亲，他母亲把二百块银子交给银匠，去造一尊雕刻的像，以及一尊铸成的像，安置在米迦的房子里。

因为，他们虽然知道神，却不把他当作神荣耀他，也不感谢他。他们的思想变为虚妄，无知的心昏暗了。他们自以为聪明，反成了愚昧，将不能朽坏之神的荣耀变为偶像，仿照必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬虫的形像。

你们不可为我制造偶像，不可为自己造任何金银的神像。

百姓见摩西迟迟不下山，就聚集到亚伦那里，对他说：“起来！为我们造神明，在我们前面引路，因为领我们出埃及地的那个摩西，我们不知道他遭遇了什么事。”

既然我们是神所生的，就不应该以为神的神性像人用手艺和心思所雕刻的金、银、石像一般。

如今他们罪上加罪，为自己铸造偶像，凭自己的聪明用银子造偶像，全都是匠人所制的。论到它，有话说：献祭的人都要亲吻牛犊。

他们立君王，并非出于我；立官长，我却不知道。他们用金银为自己制造偶像，以致被剪除。撒玛利亚啊，耶和华已抛弃你的牛犊；我的怒气向拜牛犊的人发作。他们要到几时方能无罪呢？

要以雕刻宝石的手艺，如同刻印章，把以色列儿子的名字刻在这两块宝石上，并把宝石镶在金槽里。

“我是耶和华—你的神，曾将你从埃及地为奴之家领出来。

耶罗波安定八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，自己上坛献祭。他在伯特利这样做，向他所铸的牛犊献祭，又把他所立丘坛的祭司安置在伯特利。
