他們失腳的時候，伸冤報應在我；因他們遭災的日子近了；那要臨在他們身上的必速速來到。

「看哪，我差遣使者在你前面，在路上保護你，領你到我所預備的地方去。

叫世上所流義人的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在殿和壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它，因為我耶和華－你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必追討他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代；

「這惡會眾向我發怨言，我忍耐他們要到幾時呢？以色列人向我所發的怨言，我都聽見了。你們告訴他們，耶和華說：『我指着我的永生起誓，我必要照你們達到我耳中的話待你們。你們的屍首必倒在這曠野，並且你們中間凡被數點、從二十歲以外、向我發怨言的，必不得進我起誓應許叫你們住的那地；惟有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才能進去。

耶和華說：我豈不因這些事討罪呢？豈不報復這樣的國民呢？

我也說：要將你們從埃及的困苦中領出來，往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』

他們在一切苦難中，他也同受苦難；並且他面前的使者拯救他們；他以慈愛和憐憫救贖他們；在古時的日子常保抱他們，懷搋他們。

我們哀求耶和華的時候，他聽了我們的聲音，差遣使者把我們從埃及領出來。這事你都知道。如今，我們在你邊界上的城加低斯。

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不曉得他的恩慈是領你悔改呢？你竟任着你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己積蓄忿怒，以致神震怒，顯他公義審判的日子來到。他必照各人的行為報應各人。

耶和華說：「我必親自和你同去，使你得安息。」摩西說：「你若不親自和我同去，就不要把我們從這裏領上去。

我要差遣使者在你前面，攆出迦南人、亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，

我討以色列罪的日子，也要討伯特利祭壇的罪；壇角必被砍下，墜落於地。

耶和華－我們的神啊，你應允他們；你是赦免他們的神，卻按他們所行的報應他們。
