摩西復覲耶和華、曰斯民以金鑄上帝、陷罪綦重、

摩西復覲主曰、斯民獲大罪、為己鑄金神、

So Moses went back to the Lord and said,“ Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold.

Then Moses returned to the Lord and said,“ Oh, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves!

Then Moses returned to the Lord and said,“ Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold!

And Moses returned unto Jehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Moses returned to Yahweh, and said,“ Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made themselves gods of gold.

你們不可做甚麼神像與我相配，不可為自己做金銀的神像。

到了第二天，摩西對百姓說：「你們犯了大罪。我如今要上耶和華那裏去，或者可以為你們贖罪。」

因你們所犯的一切罪，行了耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒，我就像從前俯伏在耶和華面前四十晝夜，沒有吃飯，也沒有喝水。我因耶和華向你們大發烈怒，要滅絕你們，就甚害怕；但那次耶和華又應允了我。

「不可為自己雕刻偶像，也不可做甚麼形像彷彿上天、下地，和地底下、水中的百物。

說：「我的神啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我神仰面；因為我們的罪孽滅頂，我們的罪惡滔天。從我們列祖直到今日，我們的罪惡甚重；因我們的罪孽，我們和君王、祭司都交在外邦列王的手中，殺害、擄掠、搶奪、臉上蒙羞正如今日的光景。

主啊，我們和我們的君王、首領、列祖因得罪了你，就都臉上蒙羞。

耶和華－以色列的神啊，因你是公義的，我們這剩下的人才得逃脫，正如今日的光景。看哪，我們在你面前有罪惡，因此無人在你面前站立得住。」

摩西在耶和華那裏四十晝夜，也不吃飯也不喝水。耶和華將這約的話，就是十條誡，寫在兩塊版上。

我們犯罪作孽，行惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命典章，

以色列眾人都犯了你的律法，偏行，不聽從你的話；因此，在你僕人摩西律法上所寫的咒詛和誓言都傾在我們身上，因我們得罪了神。

在一切臨到我們的事上，你卻是公義的；因你所行的是誠實，我們所做的是邪惡。
