So Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my Lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

亞倫說：『求我主不要生氣；你認識這人民，知道他們是一味作壞事的。

亞倫曰、我主勿怒、斯民決志作惡、爾所知也、

亞倫曰、我主勿怒、爾知斯民、惟惡是作、

亞倫曰、我主毋怒、爾知斯民專於作惡、

“ Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered.“ You know how prone these people are to evil.

“ Please don’t be angry,” Aaron answered.“ You know how these people like to do what is evil.

And Aaron said,“ Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t get so upset, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know how evil these people are.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they[ are set] on mischief.

Aaron said,“ Do not let your anger burn hot, my lord; you know these people, that they tend to evil.

Aaron said,“ Don’t let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

You have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you.

Then they said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?

Notwithstanding they did not heed Moses. But some of them left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them.

And the people complained against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.

“ Remember! Do not forget how you provoked the Lord your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you departed from the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the Lord.

for I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. If today, while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against the Lord, then how much more after my death?

For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; And their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.And the children of Israel said to them,“ Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said,“ Give us water, that we may drink.” So Moses said to them,“ Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?”And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said,“ Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying,“ What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!”

He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil.
