Moses said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?”

謂亞倫曰、斯民於爾何為、使陷重罪、

謂亞倫曰、斯民何負於爾、使陷重罪。

He said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?”

He said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you? How did they make you lead them into such terrible sin?”

And Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Finally, he turned to Aaron and demanded,“ What did these people do to you to make you bring such terrible sin upon them?”

Then Moses asked Aaron,“ What did these people do to you that you have led them into such a grave sin?”

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

And Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought a great sin upon them?

Then Moses asked Aaron,“ What did these people do to you that you have led them into such a grave sin?”

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?

Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought on them so great a sin?”

Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him,“ What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”

He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he has sinned, and with which he has made Israel to sin.”

Abimelech said,“ What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us!”

Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”Achan answered Joshua, and said,“ I have truly sinned against Yahweh, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.”So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent. Behold, it was hidden in his tent, with the silver under it.They took them from the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel. They laid them down before Yahweh.Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.They raised over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day. Yahweh turned from the fierceness of his anger. Therefore the name of that place was called“ The valley of Achor” to this day.

If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying,“ Let’s go and serve other gods”— which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth—you shall not consent to him nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him;

I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah for the provocation with which you have provoked me to anger, and have made Israel to sin.”

Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that Yahweh has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before Yahweh; for they have driven me out today that I shouldn’t cling to Yahweh’s inheritance, saying,‘ Go, serve other gods!’

But they didn’t listen, and Manasseh seduced them to do that which is evil more than the nations did whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Israel.Yahweh spoke by his servants the prophets, saying,“ Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has also made Judah to sin with his idols;
