He said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?”

摩西對亞倫說：“這人民向你作了甚麼，你竟使他們陷在大罪裡呢？”

謂亞倫曰、斯民於爾何為、使陷重罪、

謂亞倫曰、斯民何負於爾、使陷重罪。

He said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you? How did they make you lead them into such terrible sin?”

And Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Finally, he turned to Aaron and demanded,“ What did these people do to you to make you bring such terrible sin upon them?”

Then Moses asked Aaron,“ What did these people do to you that you have led them into such a grave sin?”

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

And Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought a great sin upon them?

Then Moses asked Aaron,“ What did these people do to you that you have led them into such a grave sin?”

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?

Moses said to Aaron,“ What did this people do to you, that you have brought on them so great a sin?”

Moses said to Aaron,“ What did these people do to you, that you have brought a great sin on them?”

Then Abimelek called Abraham in and said,“ What have you done to us? How have I wronged you that you have brought such great guilt upon me and my kingdom? You have done things to me that should never be done.”

And he will give Israel up because of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit.”

Then Abimelek said,“ What is this you have done to us? One of the men might well have slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”Achan replied,“ It is true! I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel. This is what I have done:When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.”So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent, and there it was, hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath.They took the things from the tent, brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites and spread them out before the Lord.Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor.Joshua said,“ Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.” Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the Lord turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor ever since.

If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying,“ Let us go and worship other gods”( gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known,gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other),do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them.

I will make your house like that of Jeroboam son of Nebat and that of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have aroused my anger and have caused Israel to sin.’

Now let my lord the king listen to his servant’s words. If the Lord has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. If, however, people have done it, may they be cursed before the Lord! They have driven me today from my share in the Lord’s inheritance and have said,‘ Go, serve other gods.’

But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.The Lord said through his servants the prophets:“ Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.
