When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.

As Moses approached the camp, he saw the calf. He also saw the people dancing. So he was very angry. He threw the tablets out of his hands. They broke into pieces at the foot of the mountain.

And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

When they came near the camp, Moses saw the calf and the dancing, and he burned with anger. He threw the stone tablets to the ground, smashing them at the foot of the mountain.

You had turned aside quickly from the way that the Lord had commanded you.So I took the two tablets and threw them out of my hands, breaking them to pieces before your eyes.

“ Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.” Then all the people shall say,“ Amen!”

Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the family bond between Judah and Israel.

It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.

But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God.“ Lord,” he said,“ why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?

“ In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,“ Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might,

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister,‘ Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Joy is gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning.

He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing.

Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the Lord.

( Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said,“ These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced,“ Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.”So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
