耶和華在西奈山和摩西說完了話，就把兩塊法版交給他，是上帝用指頭寫的石版。

而你們顯明自己是基督的書信，藉着我們寫成的。不是用墨寫的，而是用永生上帝的靈寫的；不是寫在石版上，而是寫在心版上的。

主又說：那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們的心思裏，寫在他們的心上；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。

那用字刻在石頭上屬死的事奉尚且有榮光，以致以色列人因摩西臉上那逐漸褪色的榮光不能定睛看他的臉，

「那時，耶和華對我說：『你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，上山到我這裏來。你也要造一個木櫃。

耶和華對摩西說：「你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣；我要把你摔碎的那版上先前所寫的字，寫在這版上。

我上了山，要領受兩塊石版，就是耶和華與你們立約的版。那時我在山上住了四十晝夜，沒有吃飯，也沒有喝水。耶和華把那兩塊石版交給我，是上帝用指頭寫成的；版上是耶和華在大會的那一天，在山上從火中對你們所說的一切話。過了四十晝夜，耶和華把那兩塊石版，就是約版，交給我。

摩西就鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣。他清晨起來，遵照耶和華吩咐他的，上西奈山去，手裏拿着兩塊石版。

於是我轉身下山，山上有火燃燒，兩塊約版在我雙手中。
