Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:

And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of workmanship, of the engraver, and of the skilful workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any workmanship, and of those that devise skilful works.And Bezalel and Oholiab shall work, and every wise- hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Jehovah hath commanded.

Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come.

And as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

And all the women that were wise- hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats’ hair.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up.Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone?And if a man prevail against him that is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

behold, I have done according to thy word: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

Now the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem; in the name of the God of Israel prophesied they unto them.Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of God, helping them.

Be not deceived, my beloved brethren.Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is there not Aaron thy brother the Levite? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.And thou shalt speak unto him, and put the words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

For Jehovah giveth wisdom; Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding:He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to them that walk in integrity;

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphæus, and Thaddæus;Simon the Cananæan, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east.And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory.And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.And the glory of Jehovah came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.And the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of Jehovah filled the house.And I heard one speaking unto me out of the house; and a man stood by me.And he said unto me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, and by the dead bodies of their kings in their high places;in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their door- post beside my door- post, and there was but the wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger.Now let them put away their whoredom, and the dead bodies of their kings, far from me; and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.Thou, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, make known unto them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the egresses thereof, and the entrances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.This is the law of the house: upon the top of the mountain the whole limit thereof round about shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.And these are the measures of the altar by cubits( the cubit is a cubit and a handbreadth): the bottom shall be a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about a span; and this shall be the base of the altar.And from the bottom upon the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the breadth one cubit; and from the lesser ledge to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the breadth a cubit.And the upper altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth and upward there shall be four horns.And the altar hearth shall be twelve cubits long by twelve broad, square in the four sides thereof.And the ledge shall be fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad in the four sides thereof; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and the bottom thereof shall be a cubit round about; and the steps thereof shall look toward the east.And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt- offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.Thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that are of the seed of Zadok, who are near unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord Jehovah, a young bullock for a sin- offering.And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the ledge, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse it and make atonement for it.Thou shalt also take the bullock of the sin- offering, and it shall be burnt in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary.And on the second day thou shalt offer a he- goat without blemish for a sin- offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock.When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.And thou shalt bring them near before Jehovah, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt- offering unto Jehovah.Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin- offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish.Seven days shall they make atonement for the altar and purify it; so shall they consecrate it.And when they have accomplished the days, it shall be that upon the eighth day, and forward, the priests shall make your burnt- offerings upon the altar, and your peace- offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord Jehovah.

And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting, about the most holy things:when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the testimony with it,and shall put thereon a covering of sealskin, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls and the cups wherewith to pour out; and the continual bread shall be thereon:and they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in the staves thereof.And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:and they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it upon the frame.And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in the staves thereof:and they shall take all the vessels of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:and they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, the firepans, the flesh- hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of sealskin, and put in the staves thereof.And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp is set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.And the charge of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the continual meal- offering, and the anointing oil, the charge of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, the sanctuary, and the furniture thereof.And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;but thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden;but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to wait upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above upon it, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatsoever shall be done with them: therein shall they serve.At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service; and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burden.This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth upon the service, to do the work of the tent of meeting.And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tent of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof,and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall appoint the instruments of the charge of their burden.This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tent of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.And Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting:and those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.These are they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that did serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, their families, and by their fathers’ houses,from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,even those that were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all that did serve in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah.And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers’ houses,from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,even those that were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand and two hundred.These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah by Moses.All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, by their families, and by their fathers’ houses,from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the tent of meeting,even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.According to the commandment of Jehovah they were numbered by Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Then Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where Jehovah appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing- floor of Ornan the Jebusite.And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.And the porch that was before the house, the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom Jehovah said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their hosts.

And Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it:and he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.And he cast for it four rings of gold, in the four feet thereof; even two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.And he made staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.And he made a mercy- seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.And he made two cherubim of gold; of beaten work made he them, at the two ends of the mercy- seat;one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end: of one piece with the mercy- seat made he the cherubim at the two ends thereof.And the cherubim spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy- seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy- seat were the faces of the cherubim.And he made the table of acacia wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof:and he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereto a crown of gold round about.And he made unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and made a golden crown to the border thereof round about.And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that were on the four feet thereof.Close by the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table.And he made the staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.And he made the vessels which were upon the table, the dishes thereof, and the spoons thereof, and the bowls thereof, and the flagons thereof, wherewith to pour out, of pure gold.And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, it knops, and its flowers, were of one piece with it:and there were six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:three cups made like almond- blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower, and three cups made like almond- blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower: so for the six branches going out of the candlestick.And in the candlestick were four cups made like almond- blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof;and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of it.Their knops and their branches were of one piece with it: the whole of it was one beaten work of pure gold.And he made the lamps thereof, seven, and the snuffers thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, of pure gold.Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof.And he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, foursquare; and two cubits was the height thereof; the horns thereof were of one piece with it.And he overlaid it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: and he made unto it a crown of gold round about.And he made for it two golden rings under the crown thereof, upon the two ribs thereof, upon the two sides of it, for places for staves wherewith to bear it.And he made the staves of acacia wood, and overlaid them with gold.And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, after the art of the perfumer.

But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Jehovah.And the house which king Solomon built for Jehovah, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.And for the house he made windows of fixed lattice- work.And against the wall of the house he built stories round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made side- chambers round about.The nethermost story was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house round about, that the beams should not have hold in the walls of the house.And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready at the quarry; and there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.The door for the middle side- chambers was in the right side of the house: and they went up by winding stairs into the middle story, and out of the middle into the third.

And all the wise- hearted men among them that wrought the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim, the work of the skilful workman, Bezalel made them.

And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus:but Paul chose Silas, and went forth, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord.
