耶和华击杀伯‧示麦人，因为他们观看他的约柜。他击杀了百姓七十人。百姓因耶和华大大击杀他们，就哀哭了。

亚拿尼亚一听见这些话，就仆倒，断了气；所有听见的人都非常惧怕。

耶和华的怒气向乌撒发作，因他伸手扶住约柜而击杀他，他就死在那里，在神面前。

所以，既然我们得了不能被震动的国度，就要感恩，照着神所喜悦的，用虔诚、敬畏的心事奉神，因为我们的神是吞灭的火。

亚伦的两个儿子靠近耶和华面前，死了。他们死后，耶和华吩咐摩西；耶和华对摩西说：“你要吩咐你哥哥亚伦，不可随时进入圣所的幔子内、到柜盖前，免得他死亡，因为我在柜盖上的云中显现。

你们要吃无酵饼七日。第一日要把酵从你们各家中除去，因为从第一日到第七日，任何吃有酵之物的，必从以色列中剪除。
