So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

So I have come down to save them from the Egyptians. I will bring them up out of that land. I will bring them into a good land. It has a lot of room. It is a land that has plenty of milk and honey. The Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites live there.

and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey— the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

And Joseph said to his brethren,“ I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:“ To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites,the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

They also took some of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us; and they brought back word to us, saying,‘ It is a good land which the Lord our God is giving us.’

And it shall be, when the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, which He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.

that I may establish the oath which I have sworn to your fathers, to give them‘ a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as it is this day.”’” And I answered and said,“ So be it, Lord.”

On that day I raised My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them,‘ flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands.

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills;a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey;a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper.

Therefore say to the children of Israel:‘ I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the Lord.’”

Then they told him, and said:“ We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies.

and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord swore to give your fathers, to them and their descendants,‘ a land flowing with milk and honey.’For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden;but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven,a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.‘ And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,lest the LORD’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.“ Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.“ For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do— to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him—then the Lord will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves.Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

You have given them this land, of which You swore to their fathers to give them—“ a land flowing with milk and honey.”

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

“ Moreover You gave them kingdoms and nations, And divided them into districts. So they took possession of the land of Sihon, The land of the king of Heshbon, And the land of Og king of Bashan.You also multiplied their children as the stars of heaven, And brought them into the land Which You had told their fathers To go in and possess.So the people went in And possessed the land; You subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, The Canaanites, And gave them into their hands, With their kings And the people of the land, That they might do with them as they wished.And they took strong cities and a rich land, And possessed houses full of all goods, Cisterns already dug, vineyards, olive groves, And fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and grew fat, And delighted themselves in Your great goodness.

Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them.They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

And I will send My Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.”

He has brought us to this place and has given us this land,“ a land flowing with milk and honey”;and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O Lord, have given me.’“ Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God.So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.“ When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year— the year of tithing— and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled,then you shall say before the Lord your God:‘ I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them.I have not eaten any of it when in mourning, nor have I removed any of it for an unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead. I have obeyed the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me.Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers,“ a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have crossed over, that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you,‘ a land flowing with milk and honey,’ just as the Lord God of your fathers promised you.

If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry;and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.“ If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.If you ever take your neighbor’s garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down.For that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What will he sleep in? And it will be that when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am gracious.“ You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.“ You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me.Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.“ And you shall be holy men to Me: you shall not eat meat torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.

whether the land they dwell in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds;

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying:“ The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us,‘ a land which flows with milk and honey.’

“ When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,

“ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord;“ I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”

Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.

And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him:“ Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are— northward, southward, eastward, and westward;for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.

You found his heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him To give the land of the Canaanites, The Hittites, the Amorites, The Perizzites, the Jebusites, And the Girgashites— To give it to his descendants. You have performed Your words, For You are righteous.

And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.

Observe what I command you this day. Behold, I am driving out from before you the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.

And it came to pass when all the kings who were on this side of the Jordan, in the hills and in the lowland and in all the coasts of the Great Sea toward Lebanon— the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite— heard about it,

Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence—

I brought you into a bountiful country, To eat its fruit and its goodness. But when you entered, you defiled My land And made My heritage an abomination.

He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet.And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies.From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.Then the channels of the sea were seen, The foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O Lord, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me.They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support.He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
