He called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said,“ Rise up, get out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve Yahweh, as you have said!Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also!”The Egyptians were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said,“ We are all dead men.”

Yahweh sent a prophet to the children of Israel; and he said to them,“ Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of bondage.

I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve. Afterward they will come out with great wealth;

He took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from among another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yahweh your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”

Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ I will bring yet one more plague on Pharaoh, and on Egypt; afterwards he will let you go. When he lets you go, he will surely thrust you out altogether.
