“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt. You must say to him,‘ The Lord has met with us. He is the God of the Hebrews. Let us take a journey that lasts about three days. We want to go into the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

And they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So please let us take a three day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God.’

They will listen to what you say. Then you, along with the elders of Israel, must go to the king of Egypt and say to him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go on a three-day trip into the wilderness so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

Then they will pay attention to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you will say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him,‘ The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

“ The elders will listen to you, and then you and the elders of Israel must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’

Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him,‘ This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says:“ Let my people go, that they may serve me.

You shall tell him,‘ Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. Behold, until now you haven’t listened.”

Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only may Yahweh your God be with you, as he was with Moses.

Pharaoh called to Moses, and said,“ Go, serve Yahweh. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”Moses said,“ You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.”

Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them,‘ Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,“ I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him,‘ This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says:“ Let my people go, that they may serve me.

It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Tent of Meeting before Yahweh, where I will meet with you, to speak there to you.There I will meet with the children of Israel; and the place shall be sanctified by my glory.

You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the covenant, before the mercy seat that is over the covenant, where I will meet with you.

There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the covenant, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

After these things Yahweh’s word came to Abram in a vision, saying,“ Don’t be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

The people believed, and when they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.Afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said to Pharaoh,“ This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”Pharaoh said,“ Who is Yahweh, that I should listen to his voice to let Israel go? I don’t know Yahweh, and moreover I will not let Israel go.”They said,“ The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh, our God, lest he fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.”

Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said,“ Go, sacrifice to your God in the land!”Moses said,“ It isn’t appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God. Behold, if we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, won’t they stone us?We will go three days’ journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our God, as he shall command us.”Pharaoh said,“ I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the wilderness, only you shall not go very far away. Pray for me.”

He said to Balak,“ Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet God over there.”Yahweh met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said,“ Return to Balak, and say this.”

You shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the covenant in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy.

You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the covenant, where I meet with you.

They didn’t say,‘ Where is Yahweh who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that no one passed through, and where no man lived?’

Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him,“ This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

When Pharaoh had let the people go, God didn’t lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said,“ Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt”;but God led the people around by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt.

He said,“ Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Jacob said to Joseph,“ God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.

When Abram was ninety- nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram and said to him,“ I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

“ Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying,‘ Yahweh says,“ I remember for you the kindness of your youth, the love of your weddings; how you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned. We have been in sin for a long time. Shall we be saved?

to listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I send to you, even rising up early and sending them, but you have not listened;

Balaam said to Balak,“ Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps Yahweh will come to meet me. Whatever he shows me I will tell you.” He went to a bare height.God met Balaam, and he said to him,“ I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.”

In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

On the way at a lodging place, Yahweh met Moses and wanted to kill him.

Now Yahweh said to Abram,“ Leave your country, and your relatives, and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.
