And they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt. You must say to him,‘ The Lord has met with us. He is the God of the Hebrews. Let us take a journey that lasts about three days. We want to go into the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So please let us take a three day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God.’

They will listen to what you say. Then you, along with the elders of Israel, must go to the king of Egypt and say to him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go on a three-day trip into the wilderness so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

Then they will pay attention to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you will say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him,‘ The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, hath met with us: and now let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Jehovah our God.

They will listen to what you say. Then you, along with the elders of Israel, must go to the king of Egypt and say to him: Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go on a three-day trip into the wilderness so that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.

And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

“ The elders will listen to you, and then you and the elders of Israel must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’

They will listen to your voice. You shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him,‘ Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh, our God.’

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go in to Pharaoh and say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me.

And you shall say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness.” But so far, you have not obeyed.

Just as we obeyed Moses in all things, so we will obey you. Only may the Lord your God be with you, as he was with Moses!

Then Pharaoh called Moses and said,“ Go, serve the Lord; your little ones also may go with you; only let your flocks and your herds remain behind.”But Moses said,“ You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.Our livestock also must go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind, for we must take of them to serve the Lord our God, and we do not know with what we must serve the Lord until we arrive there.”

The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.

Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying,“ I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt,

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Rise up early in the morning and present yourself before Pharaoh and say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews,“ Let my people go, that they may serve me.

It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there.There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory.

And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you.

There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

And the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel,‘ Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’”But Pharaoh said,“ Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.”Then they said,“ The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God, lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”

Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said,“ Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.”But Moses said,“ It would not be right to do so, for the offerings we shall sacrifice to the Lord our God are an abomination to the Egyptians. If we sacrifice offerings abominable to the Egyptians before their eyes, will they not stone us?We must go three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as he tells us.”So Pharaoh said,“ I will let you go to sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you must not go very far away. Plead for me.”

Balaam said to Balak,“ Stand here beside your burnt offering, while I meet the Lord over there.”And the Lord met Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said,“ Return to Balak, and thus shall you speak.”

You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy for you.

Then you shall deposit them in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.

They did not say,‘ Where is the Lord who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and pits, in a land of drought and deep darkness, in a land that none passes through, where no man dwells?’

So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and said to him,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews,‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near. For God said,“ Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.”But God led the people around by the way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea. And the people of Israel went up out of the land of Egypt equipped for battle.

He said,“ But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

And Jacob said to Joseph,“ God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,

Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him,“ I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless,

“ Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the Lord,“ I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.

You meet him who joyfully works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways. Behold, you were angry, and we sinned; in our sins we have been a long time, and shall we be saved?

and to listen to the words of my servants the prophets whom I send to you urgently, though you have not listened,

And Balaam said to Balak,“ Stand beside your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the Lord will come to meet me, and whatever he shows me I will tell you.” And he went to a bare height,and God met Balaam. And Balaam said to him,“ I have arranged the seven altars and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”

On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.

At a lodging place on the way the Lord met him and sought to put him to death.

Now the Lord said to Abram,“ Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.
