He said,“ But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

God said,“ I will be with you. I will give you a sign. It will prove that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain.”

God answered,“ I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I am the one who sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

And He said,“ Assuredly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.”

So He said,“ I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be the token unto thee, that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

He answered,“ I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this[ shall be] a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

He replied,“ Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.”

He said,“ Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do.

And the Lord commissioned Joshua the son of Nun and said,“ Be strong and courageous, for you shall bring the people of Israel into the land that I swore to give them. I will be with you.”

Then the Lord said to Jacob,“ Return to the land of your fathers and to your kindred, and I will be with you.”

Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”

On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.They set out from Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness. There Israel encamped before the mountain,while Moses went up to God. The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying,“ Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel:‘ You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him.All the people answered together and said,“ All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.And the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord,the Lord said to Moses,“ Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garmentsand be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying,‘ Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death.No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and consecrated the people; and they washed their garments.And he said to the people,“ Be ready for the third day; do not go near a woman.”On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled.Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain.Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder.The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.And the Lord said to Moses,“ Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to the Lord to look and many of them perish.Also let the priests who come near to the Lord consecrate themselves, lest the Lord break out against them.”And Moses said to the Lord,“ The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai, for you yourself warned us, saying,‘ Set limits around the mountain and consecrate it.’”And the Lord said to him,“ Go down, and come up bringing Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest he break out against them.”So Moses went down to the people and told them.

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

“ Take in your hands large stones and hide them in the mortar in the pavement that is at the entrance to Pharaoh’s palace in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah,and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and I will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden, and he will spread his royal canopy over them.

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

Then Moses answered,“ But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say,‘ The Lord did not appear to you.’”The Lord said to him,“ What is that in your hand?” He said,“ A staff.”And he said,“ Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it.But the Lord said to Moses,“ Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”— so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—“ that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”Again, the Lord said to him,“ Put your hand inside your cloak.” And he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow.Then God said,“ Put your hand back inside your cloak.” So he put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh.“ If they will not believe you,” God said,“ or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign.If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.”

And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.

teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

But he said,“ O Lord God, how am I to know that I shall possess it?”

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

Then the angel of the Lord reached out the tip of the staff that was in his hand and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes. And fire sprang up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. And the angel of the Lord vanished from his sight.

Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,“ Take a census of all the congregation of the people of Israel, by clans, by fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, every male, head by head.From twenty years old and upward, all in Israel who are able to go to war, you and Aaron shall list them, company by company.And there shall be with you a man from each tribe, each man being the head of the house of his fathers.And these are the names of the men who shall assist you. From Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;from Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;from Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;from Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar;from Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;from the sons of Joseph, from Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud, and from Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

And he said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your eyes, then show me a sign that it is you who speak with me.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said,“ I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

“ And this shall be the sign for you: this year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that. Then in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

And you shall hear what they say, and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the armed men who were in the camp.

When Gideon came, behold, a man was telling a dream to his comrade. And he said,“ Behold, I dreamed a dream, and behold, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian and came to the tent and struck it so that it fell and turned it upside down, so that the tent lay flat.”And his comrade answered,“ This is no other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has given into his hand Midian and all the camp.”

The Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying,“ Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the Lord, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.“ If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord.He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.Then he shall kill the bull before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and throw the blood against the sides of the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.Then he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces,and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.And Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat, on the wood that is on the fire on the altar;but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall burn all of it on the altar, as a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.“ If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall bring a male without blemish,and he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the Lord, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar.And he shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood that is on the fire on the altar,but the entrails and the legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.“ If his offering to the Lord is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or pigeons.And the priest shall bring it to the altar and wring off its head and burn it on the altar. Its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar.He shall remove its crop with its contents and cast it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for ashes.He shall tear it open by its wings, but shall not sever it completely. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

When you finish reading this book, tie a stone to it and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates,and say,‘ Thus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more, because of the disaster that I am bringing upon her, and they shall become exhausted.’” Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

Then Gideon said to God,“ If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,behold, I am laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece alone, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.”And it was so. When he rose early next morning and squeezed the fleece, he wrung enough dew from the fleece to fill a bowl with water.Then Gideon said to God,“ Let not your anger burn against me; let me speak just once more. Please let me test just once more with the fleece. Please let it be dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground let there be dew.”And God did so that night; and it was dry on the fleece only, and on all the ground there was dew.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
