Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.

摩西為外舅米甸祭司葉忒羅牧羊、驅羊於曠野外、至天主山、即何烈山、

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, God’s Mountain.

Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father- in- law,“ We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said,‘ I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab, Moses’ brother- in- law, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.

Then Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;and Yahweh took me from following the flock, and Yahweh said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

He said,“ Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.

the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me,“ Assemble the people to me, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.”

He also chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance.So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

Moses rose up with Joshua, his servant, and Moses went up onto God’s Mountain.

Now Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father- in- law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, how Yahweh had brought Israel out of Egypt.Jethro, Moses’ father- in- law, received Zipporah, Moses’ wife, after he had sent her away,and her two sons. The name of one son was Gershom, for Moses said,“ I have lived as a foreigner in a foreign land”.The name of the other was Eliezer, for he said,“ My father’s God was my help and delivered me from Pharaoh’s sword.”Jethro, Moses’ father- in- law, came with Moses’ sons and his wife to Moses into the wilderness where he was encamped, at the Mountain of God.He said to Moses,“ I, your father- in- law Jethro, have come to you with your wife, and her two sons with her.”

Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying,“ This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

The words of Amos, who was among the herdsmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

and be ready for the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

Yahweh said to Aaron,“ Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.

When they came to Reuel, their father, he said,“ How is it that you have returned so early today?”

“ Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

“ Yahweh our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying,‘ You have lived long enough at this mountain.

Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.Yahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.He said to them,“ Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”

Moses was content to dwell with the man. He gave Moses Zipporah, his daughter.

There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.
