Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

他就起來吃了喝了，仗着這飲食的力走了四十晝夜，到了上帝的山，就是何烈山。

摩西對他岳父米甸人流珥的兒子何巴說：「我們要往前行，到耶和華所說的地方；他曾說：『我要將這地賜給你們。』現在請你和我們同去，我們必善待你，因為耶和華已經應許賜福氣給以色列人。」

看哪，我要在何烈的磐石那裏，站在你面前。你要擊打磐石，水就會從磐石流出來，給百姓喝。」摩西就在以色列的長老眼前這樣做了。

摩西岳父何巴的後裔，基尼人希百離開了基尼族，到靠近基低斯的撒拿音橡樹旁支搭帳棚。

阿摩司對亞瑪謝說：「我原不是先知，也不是先知的門徒；我是牧人，是修剪桑樹的。耶和華帶領我，叫我不再牧放羊羣，對我說：『你去向我子民以色列說預言。』

上帝說：「不要靠近這裏。把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方是聖地」。

他們在何烈山造了牛犢，叩拜鑄成的像，

你在何烈山站在耶和華－你上帝面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我召集百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們活在世上的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教導他們的兒女。』

他揀選他的僕人大衛，從羊圈中將他召來，叫他不再牧放那些母羊，為要牧養自己的百姓雅各和自己的產業以色列。於是，他以純正的心牧養他們，用巧妙的手引導他們。

摩西和他的助手約書亞站起來；摩西上了上帝的山。

摩西的岳父，米甸祭司葉特羅，聽見上帝為摩西和為他百姓以色列所行的一切事，就是耶和華將以色列從埃及領了出來。摩西的岳父葉特羅帶着西坡拉，就是摩西先前送回家的妻子，又帶着她的兩個兒子：一個名叫革舜，因為摩西說：「我在外地作了寄居者」；另一個名叫以利以謝，因為他說：「我父親的上帝幫助我，救我脫離法老的刀。」摩西的岳父葉特羅帶着摩西的妻子和兩個兒子來到上帝的山，就是摩西在曠野安營的地方。他對摩西說：「我是你岳父葉特羅，帶着你的妻子和兩個兒子來到你這裏。」

摩西到上帝那裏，耶和華從山上呼喚他說：「你要這樣告訴雅各家，對以色列人說：

這是猶大王烏西雅在位與約阿施的兒子以色列王耶羅波安在位的時候，大地震前二年，從提哥亞來的牧人阿摩司所見的－他的話論到以色列。

第三天要預備好，因為第三天耶和華要在眾百姓眼前降臨在西奈山。

耶和華對亞倫說：「你往曠野去迎接摩西。」他就去，在上帝的山遇見摩西，就親他。

她們回到父親流珥那裏；他說：「今日你們為何這麼快就回來了呢？」

「你們當記念我僕人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山為以色列眾人所吩咐他的律例典章。

米甸的祭司有七個女兒；她們來打水，打滿了槽，要給父親的羊羣喝水。

「耶和華－我們的上帝在何烈山吩咐我們說：你們住在這山上已經夠久了。

摩西上山，有雲彩把山遮蓋。耶和華的榮耀駐在西奈山，雲彩遮蓋了山六天，第七天他從雲中呼叫摩西。耶和華的榮耀在山頂上，在以色列人眼前，形狀如吞噬的火。

耶穌沿着加利利海邊行走，看見兩兄弟，就是那叫彼得的西門和他弟弟安得烈，正往海裏撒網；他們本是打魚的。耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」

摩西願意和那人同住，那人就把女兒西坡拉給摩西為妻。

在伯利恆的野外有牧羊人，夜間值班看守羊羣。
