Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

他就起来吃了喝了，仗着这饮食的力走了四十昼夜，到了神的山，就是何烈山。

摩西对他岳父米甸人流珥的儿子何巴说：“我们要往前行，到耶和华所说的地方；他曾说：‘我要将这地赐给你们。’现在请你和我们同去，我们必善待你，因为耶和华已经应许赐福气给以色列人。”

看哪，我要在何烈的磐石那里，站在你面前。你要击打磐石，水就会从磐石流出来，给百姓喝。”摩西就在以色列的长老眼前这样做了。

摩西岳父何巴的后裔，基尼人希百离开了基尼族，到靠近基低斯的撒拿音橡树旁支搭帐棚。

阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒；我是牧人，是修剪桑树的。耶和华带领我，叫我不再牧放羊群，对我说：‘你去向我子民以色列说预言。’

神说：“不要靠近这里。把你脚上的鞋脱下来，因为你所站的地方是圣地”。

他们在何烈山造了牛犊，叩拜铸成的像，

你在何烈山站在耶和华—你神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：‘你为我召集百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们活在世上的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教导他们的儿女。’

他拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，叫他不再牧放那些母羊，为要牧养自己的百姓雅各和自己的产业以色列。于是，他以纯正的心牧养他们，用巧妙的手引导他们。

摩西和他的助手约书亚站起来；摩西上了神的山。

摩西的岳父，米甸祭司叶特罗，听见神为摩西和为他百姓以色列所行的一切事，就是耶和华将以色列从埃及领了出来。摩西的岳父叶特罗带着西坡拉，就是摩西先前送回家的妻子，又带着她的两个儿子：一个名叫革舜，因为摩西说：“我在外地作了寄居者”；另一个名叫以利以谢，因为他说：“我父亲的神帮助我，救我脱离法老的刀。”摩西的岳父叶特罗带着摩西的妻子和两个儿子来到神的山，就是摩西在旷野安营的地方。他对摩西说：“我是你岳父叶特罗，带着你的妻子和两个儿子来到你这里。”

摩西到神那里，耶和华从山上呼唤他说：“你要这样告诉雅各家，对以色列人说：

这是犹大王乌西雅在位与约阿施的儿子以色列王耶罗波安在位的时候，大地震前二年，从提哥亚来的牧人阿摩司所见的—他的话论到以色列。

第三天要预备好，因为第三天耶和华要在众百姓眼前降临在西奈山。

耶和华对亚伦说：“你往旷野去迎接摩西。”他就去，在神的山遇见摩西，就亲他。

她们回到父亲流珥那里；他说：“今日你们为何这么快就回来了呢？”

“你们当记念我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山为以色列众人所吩咐他的律例典章。

米甸的祭司有七个女儿；她们来打水，打满了槽，要给父亲的羊群喝水。

“耶和华—我们的神在何烈山吩咐我们说：你们住在这山上已经够久了。

摩西上山，有云彩把山遮盖。耶和华的荣耀驻在西奈山，云彩遮盖了山六天，第七天他从云中呼叫摩西。耶和华的荣耀在山顶上，在以色列人眼前，形状如吞噬的火。

耶稣沿着加利利海边行走，看见两兄弟，就是那叫彼得的西门和他弟弟安得烈，正往海里撒网；他们本是打鱼的。耶稣对他们说：“来跟从我，我要叫你们得人如得鱼一样。”

摩西愿意和那人同住，那人就把女儿西坡拉给摩西为妻。

在伯利恒的野外有牧羊人，夜间值班看守羊群。
