Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.

So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law,“ We are setting out for the place of which the Lord said,‘ I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for the Lord has promised good things to Israel.”

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Now Heber the Kenite, of the children of Hobab the father-in-law of Moses, had separated himself from the Kenites and pitched his tent near the terebinth tree at Zaanaim, which is beside Kedesh.

Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:“ I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’

Then He said,“ Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”

They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image.

especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me,‘ Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’

He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;From following the ewes that had young He brought him, To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God.

And Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moses and for Israel His people— that the Lord had brought Israel out of Egypt.Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took Zipporah, Moses’ wife, after he had sent her back,with her two sons, of whom the name of one was Gershom( for he said,“ I have been a stranger in a foreign land”)and the name of the other was Eliezer( for he said,“ The God of my father was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”);and Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, came with his sons and his wife to Moses in the wilderness, where he was encamped at the mountain of God.Now he had said to Moses,“ I, your father-in-law Jethro, am coming to you with your wife and her two sons with her.”

And Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying,“ Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

The words of Amos, who was among the sheepbreeders of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

And the Lord said to Aaron,“ Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he went and met him on the mountain of God, and kissed him.

When they came to Reuel their father, he said,“ How is it that you have come so soon today?”

“ Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments.

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

“ The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying:‘ You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.

Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.Then He said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
