Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

Now Heber the Kenite,[ which was] of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which[ is] by Kedesh.

Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I[ was] no prophet, neither[ was] I a prophet’s son; but I[ was] an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest[ is] holy ground.

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

[ Specially] the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and[ that] they may teach their children.

He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people,[ and] that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;Then Jethro, Moses’ father in law, took Zipporah, Moses’ wife, after he had sent her back,And her two sons; of which the name of the one[ was] Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:And the name of the other[ was] Eliezer; for the God of my father,[ said he, was] mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:And Jethro, Moses’ father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How[ is it that] ye are come so soon to day?

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel,[ with] the statutes and judgments.

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew[ water], and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.And the sight of the glory of the LORD[ was] like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
