Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

他就起來吃了喝了，仗着這飲食的力，走了四十晝夜，到了神的山，就是何烈山。

摩西對他岳父－米甸人流珥的兒子何巴－說：「我們要行路，往耶和華所應許之地去；他曾說：『我要將這地賜給你們。』現在求你和我們同去，我們必厚待你，因為耶和華指着以色列人已經應許給好處。」

我必在何烈的磐石那裏，站在你面前。你要擊打磐石，從磐石裏必有水流出來，使百姓可以喝。」摩西就在以色列的長老眼前這樣行了。

摩西岳父何巴的後裔，基尼人希百曾離開基尼族，到靠近基低斯、撒拿音的橡樹旁支搭帳棚。

阿摩司對亞瑪謝說：「我原不是先知，也不是先知的門徒。我是牧人，又是修理桑樹的。耶和華選召我，使我不跟從羊羣，對我說：『你去向我民以色列說預言。』

神說：「不要近前來。當把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站之地是聖地」；

他們在何烈山造了牛犢，叩拜鑄成的像。

你在何烈山站在耶和華－你神面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我招聚百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們存活在世的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教訓兒女這樣行。』

又揀選他的僕人大衛，從羊圈中將他召來，叫他不再跟從那些帶奶的母羊，為要牧養自己的百姓雅各和自己的產業以色列。於是，他按心中的純正牧養他們，用手中的巧妙引導他們。

摩西和他的幫手約書亞起來，上了神的山。

摩西的岳父，米甸祭司葉忒羅，聽見神為摩西和神的百姓以色列所行的一切事，就是耶和華將以色列從埃及領出來的事，便帶着摩西的妻子西坡拉，就是摩西從前打發回去的，又帶着西坡拉的兩個兒子，一個名叫革舜，因為摩西說：「我在外邦作了寄居的」；一個名叫以利以謝，因為他說：「我父親的神幫助了我，救我脫離法老的刀。」摩西的岳父葉忒羅帶着摩西的妻子和兩個兒子來到神的山，就是摩西在曠野安營的地方。他對摩西說：「我是你岳父葉忒羅，帶着你的妻子和兩個兒子來到你這裏。」

摩西到神那裏，耶和華從山上呼喚他說：「你要這樣告訴雅各家，曉諭以色列人說：

當猶大王烏西雅，以色列王約阿施的兒子耶羅波安在位的時候，大地震前二年，提哥亞牧人中的阿摩司得默示論以色列。

到第三天要預備好了，因為第三天耶和華要在眾百姓眼前降臨在西奈山上。

耶和華對亞倫說：「你往曠野去迎接摩西。」他就去，在神的山遇見摩西，和他親嘴。

她們來到父親流珥那裏；他說：「今日你們為何來得這麼快呢？」

「你們當記念我僕人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山為以色列眾人所吩咐他的律例典章。

一日，他在井旁坐下。米甸的祭司有七個女兒；她們來打水，打滿了槽，要飲父親的羣羊。

「耶和華－我們的神在何烈山曉諭我們說：你們在這山上住的日子夠了；

摩西上山，有雲彩把山遮蓋。耶和華的榮耀停於西奈山；雲彩遮蓋山六天，第七天他從雲中召摩西。耶和華的榮耀在山頂上，在以色列人眼前，形狀如烈火。

耶穌在加利利海邊行走，看見弟兄二人，就是那稱呼彼得的西門和他兄弟安得烈，在海裏撒網；他們本是打魚的。耶穌對他們說：「來跟從我，我要叫你們得人如得魚一樣。」

摩西甘心和那人同住；那人把他的女兒西坡拉給摩西為妻。

在伯利恆之野地裏有牧羊的人，夜間按着更次看守羊羣。
