Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the flock of his father- in- law Jethro. Jethro was the priest of Midian. Moses led the flock to the western side of the desert. He came to Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

One day Moses was tending the flock of his father in law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father in law Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God,[ even] to Horeb.

Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.

他就起来吃了喝了，仗着这饮食的力，走了四十昼夜，到了神的山，就是何烈山。

摩西对他岳父米甸人流珥的儿子何巴说：“我们要行路，往耶和华所应许之地去；他曾说：‘我要将这地赐给你们。’现在求你和我们同去，我们必厚待你，因为耶和华指着以色列人已经应许给好处。”

我必在何烈的磐石那里，站在你面前。你要击打磐石，从磐石里必有水流出来，使百姓可以喝。”摩西就在以色列的长老眼前这样行了。

摩西岳父何巴的后裔，基尼人希百曾离开基尼族，到靠近基低斯、撒拿音的橡树旁支搭帐棚。

阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒。我是牧人，又是修理桑树的。耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’

神说：“不要近前来。当把你脚上的鞋脱下来，因为你所站之地是圣地”；

他们在何烈山造了牛犊，叩拜铸成的像。

你在何烈山站在耶和华你神面前的那日，耶和华对我说：‘你为我招聚百姓，我要叫他们听见我的话，使他们存活在世的日子，可以学习敬畏我，又可以教训儿女这样行。’

又拣选他的仆人大卫，从羊圈中将他召来，叫他不再跟从那些带奶的母羊，为要牧养自己的百姓雅各和自己的产业以色列。于是，他按心中的纯正牧养他们，用手中的巧妙引导他们。

摩西和他的帮手约书亚起来，上了神的山。

摩西的岳父，米甸祭司叶忒罗，听见神为摩西和神的百姓以色列所行的一切事，就是耶和华将以色列从埃及领出来的事，便带着摩西的妻子西坡拉，就是摩西从前打发回去的，又带着西坡拉的两个儿子，一个名叫革舜，因为摩西说：“我在外邦作了寄居的”；一个名叫以利以谢，因为他说：“我父亲的神帮助了我，救我脱离法老的刀。”摩西的岳父叶忒罗带着摩西的妻子和两个儿子来到神的山，就是摩西在旷野安营的地方。他对摩西说：“我是你岳父叶忒罗，带着你的妻子和两个儿子来到你这里。”

摩西到神那里，耶和华从山上呼唤他说：“你要这样告诉雅各家，晓谕以色列人说：

当犹大王乌西雅，以色列王约阿施的儿子耶罗波安在位的时候，大地震前二年，提哥亚牧人中的阿摩司得默示论以色列。

到第三天要预备好了，因为第三天耶和华要在众百姓眼前降临在西奈山上。

耶和华对亚伦说：“你往旷野去迎接摩西。”他就去，在神的山遇见摩西，和他亲嘴。

她们来到父亲流珥那里；他说：“今日你们为何来得这么快呢？”

“你们当记念我仆人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山为以色列众人所吩咐他的律例典章。

一日，他在井旁坐下。米甸的祭司有七个女儿；她们来打水，打满了槽，要饮父亲的群羊。

“耶和华我们的神在何烈山晓谕我们说：你们在这山上住的日子够了；

摩西上山，有云彩把山遮盖。耶和华的荣耀停于西奈山；云彩遮盖山六天，第七天他从云中召摩西。耶和华的荣耀在山顶上，在以色列人眼前，形状如烈火。

耶稣在加利利海边行走，看见弟兄二人，就是那称呼彼得的西门和他兄弟安得烈，在海里撒网；他们本是打鱼的。耶稣对他们说：“来跟从我，我要叫你们得人如得鱼一样。”

摩西甘心和那人同住；那人把他的女儿西坡拉给摩西为妻。

在伯利恒之野地里有牧羊的人，夜间按着更次看守羊群。
