and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons. The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance.“ Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

Put caps on their heads. Tie belts on Aaron and his sons. The work of the priests belongs to them. This is my law that will last for all time to come.“ Then you must prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me.

Wrap the sashes around the waists of Aaron and his sons, and put their special head coverings on them. Then the right to the priesthood will be theirs by law forever. In this way, you will ordain Aaron and his sons.

他又把第二隻公綿羊牽來，就是承受聖職所獻的公綿羊；亞倫和他的兒子按手在公綿羊的頭上；摩西宰殺了羊，取了一些羊血，抹在亞倫的右耳垂上和右手的大拇指上，以及右腳的大拇趾上。又把亞倫的兒子帶來，摩西也把血抹在他們的右耳垂上和右手的大拇指上，以及右腳的大拇趾上；其餘的血則潑在祭壇的四周。然後他取出脂肪、肥尾巴、內臟上所有的脂肪、腎旁的肝葉、兩個腎、腎上的脂肪和右後腿；又從在耶和華面前的無酵餅籃子裡，取出一個無酵餅、一個油餅和一個薄餅，都放在脂肪和右後腿上；他把這一切都放在亞倫手上和他兒子手上，在耶和華面前搖一搖作為搖祭。然後，摩西從他們的手上接過來，焚燒在祭壇的燔祭上；這些是承受聖職祭，是獻給耶和華馨香的火祭。

耶和華又使你和你所有的兄弟，就是利未的子孫，一同親近他，這在你們看來是小事嗎？你們還要尋求祭司職分嗎？

要膏抹他們好像膏抹他們的父親一樣，使他們可以作祭司服事我；他們的膏抹使他們世世代代永遠當祭司之職。”

而且蒙神照著麥基洗德的體系，稱他為大祭司。

你要委派亞倫和他的兒子，使他們謹守自己祭司的職分；外人走近，必被治死。”

沒有人可以自己取得這大祭司的尊榮，只有像亞倫一樣，蒙神選召的才可以。照樣，基督也沒有自己爭取作大祭司的尊榮，而是曾經對他說：“你是我的兒子，我今日生了你”的神榮耀了他；

七天之內，你們不可出會幕的門口，直到你們承受聖職禮的日子滿了，因為主要用這七天使你們承受聖職（“使你們承受聖職”原文作“他充滿你們的手”）。

摩西說：“今天你們要奉獻自己歸耶和華為聖，因為各人犧牲了自己的兒子和兄弟，好使耶和華今天賜福給你們。”

這樣看來，如果藉著利未人的祭司制度能達到完全的地步（人民是在這制度下領受律法的），為甚麼還需要照著麥基洗德的體系，另外興起一位祭司，而不照著亞倫的體系呢？祭司的制度既然更改了，律法也必須更改。因為這些話所指的那位，原是屬於另外一個支派的，這支派向來沒有人在祭壇前供職。我們的主明明是從猶大支派出來的，關於這個支派，摩西並沒有提及祭司的事。

要給他和他的後裔作為永遠擔當祭司職分的約，因為他為他的神有忌邪的心，為以色列人贖罪。’”

又有火從耶和華那裡出來，把那獻香的二百五十個人吞滅了。

“你要從以色列人中使你的哥哥亞倫和他的眾子，就是亞倫和他的眾子：拿答、亞比戶、以利亞撒、以他瑪，都一同來到你面前，作事奉我的祭司。

因為耶和華你的神從你的各支派中把他揀選出來，使他和他的子孫，可以常常奉耶和華的名侍立供祭司的職。

“你也要為亞倫的兒子做內袍，為他們做腰帶，又為他們做頭巾，使他們有榮耀，有華美。你要把這些給你哥哥亞倫和他的兒子們穿上，又要膏抹他們，按立他們，把他們分別為聖，好使他們可以作我的祭司。

給以色列人作鑒戒，叫不是亞倫子孫的外人，不可近前來，在耶和華面前燒香，免得他像可拉和他的同黨有一樣的遭遇；這是照著耶和華藉摩西吩咐以利亞撒的。

一方面，從前那些作祭司的，因為受死亡的限制，不能長久留任，所以人數眾多。另一方面，因為耶穌是永遠長存的，就擁有他永不更改的祭司職位。因此，那些靠著他進到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底；因為他長遠活著，為他們代求。這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。他不必像那些大祭司，天天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為人民的罪獻祭；因為他獻上了自己，就把這事一次而永遠的成全了。律法所立的大祭司，都是軟弱的人；可是在律法以後，用誓言所立的兒子，卻是成為完全直到永遠的。
