耶和華曉諭亞倫說：「我已將歸我的舉祭，就是以色列人一切分別為聖的物，交給你經管；因你受過膏，把這些都賜給你和你的子孫，當作永得的分。

給亞倫穿上內袍，束上腰帶，穿上外袍，又加上以弗得，用其上巧工織的帶子把以弗得繫在他身上，又給他戴上胸牌，把烏陵和土明放在胸牌內，把冠冕戴在他頭上，在冠冕的前面釘上金牌，就是聖冠，都是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。摩西用膏油抹帳幕和其中所有的，使它成聖；又用膏油在壇上彈了七次，又抹了壇和壇的一切器皿，並洗濯盆和盆座，使它成聖；又把膏油倒在亞倫的頭上膏他，使他成聖。

要給亞倫穿上內袍和以弗得的外袍，並以弗得，又帶上胸牌，束上以弗得巧工織的帶子。把冠冕戴在他頭上，將聖冠加在冠冕上，就把膏油倒在他頭上膏他。

又要吩咐一切心中有智慧的，就是我用智慧的靈所充滿的，給亞倫做衣服，使他分別為聖，可以給我供祭司的職分。所要做的就是胸牌、以弗得、外袍、雜色的內袍、冠冕、腰帶，使你哥哥亞倫和他兒子穿這聖服，可以給我供祭司的職分。

把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上；亞倫必死在那裏，歸他列祖。」摩西就照耶和華所吩咐的行。三人當着會眾的眼前上了何珥山。摩西把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上，亞倫就死在山頂那裏。於是摩西和以利亞撒下了山。

怎樣膏他們的父親，也要照樣膏他們，使他們給我供祭司的職分。他們世世代代凡受膏的，就永遠當祭司的職任。」
