耶和华对亚伦说：“我已经把保留归我的举祭，就是以色列人一切分别为圣的物，都赐给你和你的子孙，作为永远应得的分。

然后给亚伦穿上内袍，束上腰带，穿上外袍，又加上以弗得，用巧工织成的以弗得带子束上，把以弗得系在他身上。又给他佩上胸牌，把乌陵和土明放在胸牌里面，把礼冠戴在他头上；在礼冠前面安上金牌，就是圣冠，都是照着耶和华吩咐摩西的。摩西取膏油，抹了帐幕和其中所有的东西，使它们分别为圣。又七次弹膏油在祭坛上，膏抹祭坛和祭坛的一切器皿，以及洗濯盆和盆座，使它们分别为圣。然后把膏油倒在亚伦的头上，膏立他，使他分别为圣。

你要拿衣服来，给亚伦穿上杂色内袍、以弗得的长外袍、以弗得和胸牌，又束上巧工织成的以弗得的带子。你要把礼冠戴在他头上，又把圣冠放在礼冠上。你要把膏油拿来，倒在他头上，膏立他。

你又要吩咐所有心中有智慧的，就是我用智慧的灵充满的，给亚伦做衣服，使他成圣，作事奉我的祭司。这些就是他们要做的衣服：胸牌、以弗得、长外袍、杂色内袍、礼冠、腰带。他们要为你哥哥亚伦和他的众子做圣衣，使他们作事奉我的祭司。

要膏抹他们好像膏抹他们的父亲一样，使他们可以作祭司服事我；他们的膏抹使他们世世代代永远当祭司之职。”

你也要膏抹亚伦和他的儿子，好使他们成圣，作我的祭司。

会众要把误杀人的，从报血仇的人手中救出来；把他送回他所逃到的避难城去，他要住在那里，直到受圣膏的大祭司死了。
