You are to take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on his sons’ garments with him, so that he may be holy, he and his garments along with his sons and his sons’ garments.

Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and his sons’ garments with him. So he consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.

You are to take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.

and the remainder of the olive oil that is in the hand of the priest he is to put on the head of the one being cleansed to make atonement for him before the LORD.

It is like fine oil poured on the head which flows down the beard– Aaron’s beard, and then flows down his garments.

The priest will then take some of the log of olive oil and pour it into his own left hand.Then the priest is to dip his right forefinger into the olive oil that is in his left hand, and sprinkle some of the olive oil with his finger seven times before the LORD.The priest will then put some of the rest of the olive oil that is in his hand on the right earlobe of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering,and the remainder of the olive oil that is in his hand the priest is to put on the head of the one being cleansed. So the priest is to make atonement for him before the LORD.

You are to make this into a sacred anointing oil, a perfumed compound, the work of a perfumer. It will be sacred anointing oil.“ With it you are to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony,the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, the altar of incense,the altar for the burnt offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its base.So you are to sanctify them, and they will be most holy; anything that touches them will be holy.“ You are to anoint Aaron and his sons and sanctify them, so that they may minister as my priests.And you are to tell the Israelites:‘ This is to be my sacred anointing oil throughout your generations.

How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace?

The spirit of the sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,to announce the year when the LORD will show his favor, the day when our God will seek vengeance, to console all who mourn,to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil symbolizing joy, instead of mourning, a garment symbolizing praise, instead of discouragement. They will be called oaks of righteousness, trees planted by the LORD to reveal his splendor.

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.Justice will be like a belt around his waist, integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

And I set myself apart on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart.
