So Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

Then you shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head, and anoint him.

Moreover, the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement on his behalf before the Lord.

It is like the precious oil on the head, Running down upon the beard, As on Aaron’s beard, The oil which ran down upon the edge of his robes.

The priest shall also take some of the log of oil, and pour it into his left palm;the priest shall then dip his right hand finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before the Lord.Of the remaining oil which is in his palm, the priest shall put some on the right ear lobe of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering;as for the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s palm, he shall put it on the head of the one to be cleansed. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf before the Lord.

You shall make from these a holy anointing oil, a fragrant mixture of ointments, the work of a perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.And you shall anoint the tent of meeting with it, and the ark of the testimony,and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,and the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin and its stand.You shall also consecrate them, so that they may be most holy; whatever touches them shall be holy.And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, so that they may serve as priests to Me.Furthermore, you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.

How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners;To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the humble of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.Also righteousness will be the belt around His hips, And faithfulness the belt around His waist.

And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, so that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
