Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour[ it] upon his head, and anoint him.

And the rest of the oil that[ is] in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.

[ It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard,[ even] Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

And the priest shall take[ some] of the log of oil, and pour[ it] into the palm of his own left hand:And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that[ is] in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:And of the rest of the oil that[ is] in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:And the remnant of the oil that[ is] in the priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.

And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that[ they] may minister unto me in the priest’s office.And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

The Spirit of the Lord GOD[ is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to[ them that are] bound;To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
