and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Jehovah.

It is like the precious oil upon the head, That ran down upon the beard, Even Aaron’s beard; That came down upon the skirt of his garments;

And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand;and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass- offering:and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah.

And thou shalt make it a holy anointing oil, a perfume compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil.And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,and the table and all the vessels thereof, and the candlestick and the vessels thereof, and the altar of incense,and the altar of burnt- offering with all the vessels thereof, and the laver and the base thereof.And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be a holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.

of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken- hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;to proclaim the year of Jehovah’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
