你們不要藉外表來妝飾自己，如編頭髮，戴金飾，穿美麗的衣裳等，而要有蘊藏在人內心不衰退的美，以溫柔嫻靜的心妝飾自己；這在上帝面前是極寶貴的。

我也希望女人以端正、克制和合乎體統的服裝打扮自己，不以編髮、金飾、珍珠和名貴衣裳來打扮。要有善行，這才與自稱為敬畏上帝的女人相稱。

不可私竊財物；要凡事顯出完美的忠誠，好事事都能榮耀我們救主上帝的教導。

你要顯出自己是好行為的榜樣，在教導上要正直、莊重，

他們用編織的工為亞倫和他的兒子做細麻布內袍、細麻布禮冠、細麻布精緻頭巾，和搓的細麻布褲子，又用藍色、紫色、朱紅色紗，和搓的細麻，以刺繡的手藝做腰帶，是照耶和華所吩咐摩西的。

同樣，你們年輕的，要順服年長的。你們大家都要以謙卑當衣服穿上，彼此順服，因為「上帝抵擋驕傲的人，但賜恩給謙卑的人。」

但那些想要發財的人就陷在誘惑、羅網和許多無知有害的慾望中，使人沉淪，以致敗壞和滅亡。貪財是萬惡之根。有人因貪戀錢財而背離信仰，用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。但你這屬上帝的人哪，要逃避這些事；要追求公義、敬虔、信心、愛心、忍耐、溫柔。
