and fasten them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. Aaron is to bear the names on his shoulders as a memorial before the Lord.

Connect them to the shoulder straps of the linen apron. The stones will stand for the sons of Israel. Aaron must carry the names on his shoulders as a constant reminder while he is serving the Lord.

And you shall set the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders for remembrance.

Fasten the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as a reminder that Aaron represents the people of Israel. Aaron will carry these names on his shoulders as a constant reminder whenever he goes before the Lord.

給以色列人作鑒戒，叫不是亞倫子孫的外人，不可近前來，在耶和華面前燒香，免得他像可拉和他的同黨有一樣的遭遇；這是照著耶和華藉摩西吩咐以利亞撒的。

摩西和以利亞撒祭司就從千夫長和百夫長手中收了金子，把它帶進會幕裡去，在耶和華面前作以色列人的記念。

他們預備了兩塊紅瑪瑙寶石，鑲嵌在金槽裡，又用刻圖章的方法刻上以色列眾子的名字，把這兩塊寶石放在以弗得的兩條肩帶上，作以色列人的記念石，是照著耶和華吩咐摩西的。

把純乳香放在每排餅上，象徵這些餅作獻給耶和華的火祭。

向我們列祖施憐憫，記念他的聖約，

這一日必作你們的記念日；你們要守這日為耶和華的節；你們要世世代代守這節日作永遠的定例。

他定睛一看，害怕起來，說：“主啊，甚麼事？”天使說：“你的禱告和善行，已經達到神面前，蒙他記念了。

耶路撒冷啊！我在你的城牆上設立了守望的人；他們晝夜都不緘默；提耶和華之名的啊！你們不要靜止。

神說：“這就是我與你們，與一切跟你們同在有生命的活物所立之約的記號，直到萬代；我把彩虹放在雲彩中，作我與大地立約的記號。我使雲彩遮蓋大地時，彩虹出現雲彩中，我就記念我與你們和一切有生命的活物所立的約：水不再成為洪水，來毀滅凡有生命的。彩虹在雲彩中出現，我看見了就記念我與地上一切有生命的活物，所立的永約。”神對挪亞說：“這就是我與地上凡有生命的立約的記號。”

那時，你在異象中告訴你的聖民說：“我幫助了一位勇士，我從民中興起了一位青年（“我從民中興起了一位青年”或譯：“我興起那從民中所揀選的”）。

他扶助了他的僕人以色列，為要記念他的憐憫，

他必建造耶和華的殿，必得尊榮；他必坐在寶座上執掌王權，又必在他的寶座上作祭司，使兩者之間和諧共濟。’”這冠冕要在耶和華的殿中給希連（“希連”有古譯本作“黑玳”）、多比雅、耶大雅和西番雅的兒子賢（“賢”有古譯本作“約西亞”）作記念。

因為有一個嬰孩為我們而生，有一個兒子賜給我們；政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他的名必稱為“奇妙的策士、全能的神、永恆的父、和平的君”。

以弗得要有兩條肩帶，連接著兩端，好使它相連在一起。

這要在你的手上作記號，在你額上作記念，好使耶和華的律法常在你的口中，因為耶和華曾用大能的手把你從埃及領出來。

看哪！神是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，並不懼怕，因為耶和華神是我的力量，我的詩歌，他也成了我的拯救。”

因此，那些靠著他進到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底；因為他長遠活著，為他們代求。這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。他不必像那些大祭司，天天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為人民的罪獻祭；因為他獻上了自己，就把這事一次而永遠的成全了。律法所立的大祭司，都是軟弱的人；可是在律法以後，用誓言所立的兒子，卻是成為完全直到永遠的。
