“ Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.

“ You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may regularly be set up to burn.

“ And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.

And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

淨金的燈臺、和它的燈盞、擺列的燈盞、跟它的一切器具、和燈火的油、

橄欖樹對他們說：「我哪可以不產出我的肥油、人所用來榮耀神尊重人的油，而去搖來搖去在眾樹之上呢？」

在我敵人面前你為我擺設筵席；你用油滋潤我的頭；我的杯滿滿、直溢出來。

『你要用淨金作一個燈臺；那燈臺是要用錘的法子作的；它的座和榦、跟杯、球、花、都要接連在一塊。燈臺的兩邊要杈出六個枝子：一邊三個燈臺枝子，另一邊三個燈臺枝子。在這邊的每一枝上有三個杯、作像杏花的樣子，有球有花；在那邊的每一枝上也有三個杯、作像杏花的樣子，有球有花：從燈臺杈出來的六個枝子、都是這樣。燈臺上有四個杯、作像杏花的樣子，有球有花。兩個枝子的下面有球和它相連；又兩個枝子的下面有球和它相連；又兩個枝子的下面有球和它相連：從燈臺杈出來的六個枝子都是這樣。它們的球和枝子要連在一塊，都是一塊淨金錘出來的。你要作燈臺的七個燈盞；這樣燈盞要掛上，使它照亮對面的地方。

我又應聲問天使說：『這燈臺左右的兩棵橄欖樹是甚麼意思？』我第二次應聲問他說：『這兩根橄欖樹枝、在兩個流出金色油的金管旁邊的、是甚麼意思？』他對我說：『你不知道這一些是甚麼意思麼？』我說：『主啊，我不知道。』他說：『這是兩個盛產新油、侍立在全地之主旁邊的。』

永恆主告訴摩西說：『你要吩咐以色列人把搗成的純橄欖油、做燈火用處的、拿來給你，讓燈不斷地點着。在會棚中、法櫃的帷帳外、亞倫從晚上到早晨要不斷地在永恆主面前整理這燈：這要做你們世世代代永遠的條例。他要不斷地在永恆主面前整理這淨金燈臺上的燈。

他們就是那兩棵橄欖樹、兩個燈臺、立在大地之主面前的。
