“ They are to make an ark of acacia wood– its length is to be three feet nine inches, its width two feet three inches, and its height two feet three inches.

“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

It contained the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered entirely with gold. In this ark were the golden urn containing the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.

Then the temple of God in heaven was opened and the ark of his covenant was visible within his temple. And there were flashes of lightning, roaring, crashes of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.

Solomon moved Pharaoh’s daughter up from the City of David to the palace he had built for her, for he said,“ My wife must not live in the palace of King David of Israel, for the places where the ark of the LORD has entered are holy.”
