“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

裡面有純金的香壇和包金的約櫃。約櫃裡珍藏著盛嗎哪的金罐、亞倫那根發過芽的手杖和兩塊刻著十誡的石版，

比撒列用皂莢木造了一個櫃，長一點一米，寬六十六釐米，高六十六釐米。這櫃子裡外都包上純金，還鑲了一圈金邊。他造了四個金環，安在櫃的四個腳上，每邊兩個環，

「當時耶和華對我說，『你要鑿兩塊石版，與前兩塊一樣，也要做一個木櫃，然後上山來見我。我要把你摔碎的那兩塊石版上的話重新寫在你鑿的石版上。你要把它們放在櫃子裡。』於是，我用皂莢木做了一個櫃子，又鑿了兩塊石版，與前兩塊石版一樣，然後帶著石版上了山。

那時，天上上帝的聖殿敞開了，殿內的約櫃清晰可見，又有閃電、巨響、雷鳴、地震和大冰雹。

所羅門帶法老的女兒離開大衛城，來到為她建造的宮中，因為所羅門說：「我的妻子不可住在以色列王大衛的宮裡，因為約櫃所到之處都是聖潔的。」
