“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

里面有纯金的香坛和包金的约柜。约柜里珍藏着盛吗哪的金罐、亚伦那根发过芽的手杖和两块刻着十诫的石版，

比撒列用皂荚木造了一个柜，长一点一米，宽六十六厘米，高六十六厘米。这柜子里外都包上纯金，还镶了一圈金边。他造了四个金环，安在柜的四个脚上，每边两个环，

“当时耶和华对我说，‘你要凿两块石版，与前两块一样，也要做一个木柜，然后上山来见我。我要把你摔碎的那两块石版上的话重新写在你凿的石版上。你要把它们放在柜子里。’于是，我用皂荚木做了一个柜子，又凿了两块石版，与前两块石版一样，然后带着石版上了山。

那时，天上上帝的圣殿敞开了，殿内的约柜清晰可见，又有闪电、巨响、雷鸣、地震和大冰雹。

所罗门带法老的女儿离开大卫城，来到为她建造的宫中，因为所罗门说：“我的妻子不可住在以色列王大卫的宫里，因为约柜所到之处都是圣洁的。”
