Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

Then Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people. He said,“ This is the blood that puts the covenant into effect. The Lord has made this covenant with you in keeping with all these words.”

And Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said,“ Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

Then Moses took the blood from the basins and splattered it over the people, declaring,“ Look, this blood confirms the covenant the Lord has made with you in giving you these instructions.”

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,

“ This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,” he said to them.

who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people.He said,“ This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies.
