He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said,“ We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded,“ We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”

He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded,“ We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”

Moses came and told the people all Yahweh’s words, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said,“ All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do.”Moses wrote all Yahweh’s words, then rose up early in the morning and built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

when all Israel has come to appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may hear, learn, fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law,and that their children, who have not known, may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,saying,“ This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood.According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

but this thing I commanded them, saying,‘ Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’But they didn’t listen or turn their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.

After the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying,“ Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, speak.”

When this letter has been read among you, cause it to be read also in the assembly of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter from Laodicea.
