Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded,“ We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.”

And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Jehovah hath spoken will we do, and be obedient.

He then took the covenant scroll and read it aloud to the people. They responded,“ We will do and obey everything that the Lord has commanded.”

摩西下山，将耶和华的命令典章都述说与百姓听。众百姓齐声说：“耶和华所吩咐的，我们都必遵行。”摩西将耶和华的命令都写上。清早起来，在山下筑一座坛，按以色列十二支派立十二根柱子，

以色列众人来到耶和华你神所选择的地方朝见他。那时，你要在以色列众人面前将这律法念给他们听。要招聚他们男、女、孩子，并城里寄居的，使他们听，使他们学习，好敬畏耶和华你们的神，谨守、遵行这律法的一切话，也使他们未曾晓得这律法的儿女得以听见，学习敬畏耶和华你们的神，在你们过约旦河要得为业之地，存活的日子，常常这样行。”

所以，前约也不是不用血立的；因为摩西当日照着律法将各样诫命传给众百姓，就拿朱红色绒和牛膝草，把牛犊山羊的血和水洒在书上，又洒在众百姓身上，说：“这血就是神与你们立约的凭据。”他又照样把血洒在帐幕和各样器皿上。按着律法，凡物差不多都是用血洁净的；若不流血，罪就不得赦免了。照着天上样式做的物件必须用这些祭物去洁净；但那天上的本物自然当用更美的祭物去洁净。

我只吩咐他们这一件说：‘你们当听从我的话，我就作你们的神，你们也作我的子民。你们行我所吩咐的一切道，就可以得福。’他们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟随从自己的计谋和顽梗的恶心，向后不向前。

我指着主嘱咐你们，要把这信念给众弟兄听。

读完了律法和先知的书，管会堂的叫人过去，对他们说：“二位兄台，若有什么劝勉众人的话，请说。”

你们念了这书信，便交给老底嘉的教会，叫他们也念；你们也要念从老底嘉来的书信。
