It will be a witness to testify against you if you go back on your word to God.”

In fact, James, Peter, and John, who were known as pillars of the church, recognized the gift God had given me, and they accepted Barnabas and me as their co workers. They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.

“ Build for me an altar made of earth, and offer your sacrifices to me— your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats, and your cattle. Build my altar wherever I cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you.If you use stones to build my altar, use only natural, uncut stones. Do not shape the stones with a tool, for that would make the altar unfit for holy use.And do not approach my altar by going up steps. If you do, someone might look up under your clothing and see your nakedness.

So the men did as Joshua had commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, one for each tribe, just as the Lord had told Joshua. They carried them to the place where they camped for the night and constructed the memorial there.Joshua also set up another pile of twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, at the place where the priests who carried the Ark of the Covenant were standing. And they are there to this day.

The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Each stone will represent one of the twelve sons of Israel, and the name of that tribe will be engraved on it like a seal.

“ Tell the people of Israel to bring you twelve wooden staffs, one from each leader of Israel’s ancestral tribes, and inscribe each leader’s name on his staff.
